Neptuno and Flexenclosure Collaborate To Bring E-site® to Central and South American Markets and Caribbean

Neptuno USA Corp. ( and Flexenclosure, (a Sweden based company, have signed a letter of intent. The company’s teaming agreement will help meet and support carriers’ demands for E-site® in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Flexenclosure’s E-site® is a proven turn-key solution specially designed to generate and conserve energy for off-grid sites from renewable energy sources, like wind and solar radiation. The power generated is stored in a battery bank with additional back-up sources to secure redundancy and uninterrupted operation. The entire solution is designed and operated with a focus on trouble-free operation and low life-cycle cost.

“We are delighted to partner with Flexenclosure - a leading renewable energy solution for off-grid sites,” said Baldassare Latino, Chief Executive Officer, Neptuno Group. “After careful evaluation of numerous competing solutions, Neptuno USA realized Flexenclosure is an ideal partner for us. Together, we will commercialize and support E-site® in our markets."

With E-site®, forward-thinking telecom carriers are able to provide wireless service in remote areas, greatly benefitting their subscriber bases, increasingly dependent on flawless and seamless wireless coverage. Furthermore the company’s joint solution will deliver an approximate 90% reduction on the diesel typically required to run remote cellular sites.

“We are excited about this opportunity as a result of our customers’ needs to reduce operational costs and to serve rural areas without electricity,” added Latino.

Under the terms of the agreement, Neptuno will produce the towers for Flexenclosure’s E-site®, as well as install, commission and maintain each site according to the industry’s highest standards. Additionally, Neptuno’s US office, located in Florida, will serve the company’s joint customers across the region.

“Our search for an America’s based partner began in early 2009. We evaluated many companies in the space, but after careful consideration, selected Neptuno based on numerous important criteria,” said Stefan Jern, CEO of Flexenclosure. “Neptuno’s longevity in the space, coupled with its experience and stellar client list, make it an ideal partner for us. We are truly excited with our collaborative initiatives. Working closely together will ensure our delivery of optimal solutions for both our existing, as well as new customers.”

In 2008 Flexenclosure E-site® solution won GSMA’s Mobile Innovation Global Award of the Year at the GSM Mobile World Congress. Since then, the demand for the product has grown rapidly, fueled by more stringent legislative mandates for telecom service providers to deploy green technologies. In addition, the solution’s efficacy and today’s competitive environment are strong contributors in the company’s growth.

Products for both companies will be showcased at CTIA Show in Las Vegas, March 23-25 in Neptuno’s booth (#3924).
