NaviSite CTO Denis Martin and CSO Allen Allison to Present at Cloud Expo

Senior Executives to Discuss Requirements for Production-Ready, Transaction-Capable Enterprise Clouds

NaviSite, a provider of enterprise-class hosting, managed application, managed messaging and managed cloud services, on Thursday announced that two of its senior executives will speak at Cloud Expo Silicon Valley, which will be held November 1-4 in Santa Clara, CA.

Denis Martin, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, will present "Tales from Cloud 2.0 - a.k.a The Transactional Cloud" on November 2nd. Denis will also discuss the requirements for production-ready cloud environments in a General Session presentation on November 3rd. Allen Allison, Chief Security Officer, will present "How to Avoid the Pitfalls of Moving IT to the Cloud" on November 3rd in the Hot Topics track.

About Denis Martin
Denis Martin is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of NaviSite. His role reflects his continued contributions to NaviSite's strategic direction, including acquisition activity, and product, service and channel development. Mr. Martin brings more than 20 years of business experience to his role, and has held several positions in the company, most recently as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. He has extensive experience in network-based computing and outsourced delivery of business solutions and managed services. Before joining NaviSite, Mr. Martin managed the national hosting and application services organization for AppliedTheory. As a co-founder of AppliedTheory, he was instrumental in the development of the company's managed service offering by combining traditional hosting services with application development, integration and support services. Mr. Martin also served as Senior Director of Software Engineering at AppliedTheory's predecessor company, NYSERNet, the world's first regional Internet service provider. He has also served as a consultant to several state and federal agencies developing network and application programs at local, state and national levels.

Allen Allison is the Chief Security Officer of NaviSite. He has been heavily involved in the information security industry for more than two decades. He is the co-architect of an industry-leading cloud computing platform, and has served as the chief engineer and developer for a market-leading managed security operations center. He has also been a lead auditor and assessor for information security programs in the healthcare, government, e-commerce, and financial verticals.
